Red River Rendezvous
If you didn’t attend the Red River Rendezvous you missed a great time. Saturday was a beautiful day in Bonham Texas. We had a mass of fly tiers, casting and excellent food. Rick Pope and company were there from TFO with tons of rods to cast. A great time was had by all! Thanks to Jerry Hamon and his associates for facilitating a wonderful weekend.
Debbie and I stayed at our favorite B&B, the Carleton House in Bonham, TX. The owners, Karen and Steve are wonderful hosts and the accommodations are awesome. Be sure to check out their web page which is linked under “Larry’s Favorite Places to Stay” on the right of the Warm Fly Home page.
Oh, the breakfast at the Carleton House was GOURMET!!!

Can't fish due to the Weather? Read any good books lately?
If you're going to read a book, read one written by a fellow fly fisherman! These are suggested readings by your Warm Fly Host, me!

About the Author
Saltwater fly-fishing pioneer and author Pete Cooper, Jr. describes the
ways and means for catching spotted seatrout, or “specks”, on fly
throughout the year and in all locales where these popular fish are
found. The textbook lessons and personal anecdotes combine to make this
book both informative and entertaining. Included are descriptions of
productive target areas during the different seasons and how to best
work them, effective flies and recipes on how to tie them, and some
thoughts on extraneous gear that is beneficial to fly fishing for
specks.
